Truaxis, formerly BillShrink, can help consumers overpaying on their current phone, cable, or credit card plans, find a new one. This online money management tool compares its users' current plans to other available plans in their area. It also shows them their potential savings if they were to switch. Then, it monitors changes in rates, and informs the user if any of the alternate plans become less expensive than the one they’re using.[1]
The process is fairly simple. First, users enter all of the information about their current service plan. As soon as Truaxis’s program has all the user’s necessary data, it can compare their current plan with others available from alternate providers. In addition, Truaxis can show a user their potential savings if they were to switch.[1] So, for example, if a customer has a cellphone plan from AT&T, Truaxis might show them comparable, or less expensive, plans from Verizon or Sprint.
The same method works for credit cards and TV service providers, so Truaxis users can potentially save on their charge cards and cable bills.[2] Truaxis can also find consumers the best certificate of deposit (CD) based on their saving habits. Customers enter their savings information -- what they plan to put away--then, Truaxis compares interest rates from different banks, showing them where they can maximize their savings.[3]
In addition, Truaxis can also help its users save on one of the most annoying expenses – gas bills. To use this tool, a customer enters their most frequent destinations, their address, and the make and model of their car, Truaxis locates the gas station with the lowest priced fuel that is closest and most convenient for their customer.[4]
Truaxis is a useful money management tool that can help anybody cut expenses; even if their users locked into a contract, Truaxis can help them make money with a CD, and cut costs when it comes to buying gas.[3] It’s a promising company that offers a lot of value to its customers -- and they don’t pay a cent.
