The 2012 Finovate Europe conference features an impressive list of financial innovators. Companies from all ends of the financial spectrum will be coming together this February, ranging from mobile banking and online payment services to virtual investment firms. Among the headliners, second time presenter AcceptEmail stands out: They're launching the world's first Short Invoicing Service.[1]
At the 2011 Finovate Europe conference AcceptEmail unveiled their e-Invoicing financial software. Their simple platform, which allows companies and contractors to take care of billing and payment entirely though email, evoked a positive response that impressed companies in Europe and abroad. Since their debut, businesses around the world have started using AcceptEmail because it requires no hardware, has no maintenance or support costs, and provides an array of reporting options.[2] Companies from various sectors, including charity organizations, use AcceptEmail to facilitate online financial transactions. Any service that uses direct debit can make use of AcceptEmail's services.[3]
Fueled by the success of their primary product, AcceptEmail has continued to explore financial innovation in electronic invoicing. Their new Short Invoicing Service is proof positive that AcceptEmail is poised to become a major player in mobile banking and online payments. Its versatile design allows payees to send an invoice to their employer and receive immediate payment online, all from their phone.
How AcceptEmail's Short Invoicing Service Works
1. Senders convert an AcceptEmail electronic bill into a text message.
2. A bill is sent over SMS, Facebook, Twitter or WhatApp.
3. The recipient can pay quickly over PayPal or their preferred mobile banking service.[1]
This new method of e-Invoicing means that contractors can bill their employers directly from their phones, enabling employers to respond in kind. This foray into mobile payments makes AccessEmail's services even faster and more accessible.[4] The reveal of their versatile new product has the potential to make waves at the Finovate Europe 2012 conference.
Finovate Europe 2012
On February 7, 2012, financial technology innovators will fill the Old Billingsgate Market Hall in London's Financial District for the Finovate Europe conference. It's composed of a series of fast-paced demos, each seven minutes long, from companies that demonstrate the best in emerging European financial innovation. The conference also offers "intimate networking time"[5] that allows conference attendees to speak with executives from the demo companies. For presenters, the Finovate conference offers a unique opportunity to build partnerships, gather industry feedback, and promote their products to the press and venture capitalists.[6]
Although the demo slots are filled for the 2012 conference, attending Finovate Europe is still a great way for financial startups to network with other entrepreneurs. The success of companies like AcceptEmail shows how participation in this conference can boost European startups into the international marketplace. Finovate Europe also introduces established members of the banking and financial technology industries to upcoming trends that will shape the future of Europe's financial businesses. Considering the recent turmoil in the Europe's finances, this conference could inspire important growth across the European financial sector.
