Check `n Go first opened its doors for business in 1994 in Covington, Kentucky. Our beginnings were humble, and as a very hands-on, family-owned business, we rooted ourselves in providing supreme customer service through customer-focused leadership principles.
After providing dependable financial services for almost 15 years, Check `n Go stands out today as a prominent leader in the payday loan industry. We currently operate more than 1,000 stores in 31 states, our team includes over 3,200 Check `n Go employees, and we look forward to every opportunity to serve you better!

Shortly after the new millennium, we experienced a period of rapid growth, which allowed us to expand the resources we provide for our customers. Today, Check `n Go proudly offers a full suite of financial services, each aimed at satisfying our customers’ evolving needs.

- 1999: With collaboration from industry partners, Check `n Go founds the Community Financial Services Association (CFSA), the payday loan industry’s national trade group.
- 2005: Thanks to our continued growth, Check `n Go evolves its brand by updating the logo and identifying the current brand colors.
- 2007: Check `n Go introduces the “Store of the Future,” a more engaging retail environment that allows our representatives to focus on each customer and provide the best financial solutions for them.
- 2007: By acquiring Cheque Centres Group Ltd. In Scotland, Check `n Go enters the international business world.
- 2007: Check `n Go partners with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) to increase child safety through distributing child safety tips and displaying photos of missing children.
- 2008: Check `n Go introduces its sister company, Axcess™ Financial, to expand the financial services offered to consumers.
- 2008: Our headquarters move from Mason to Cincinnati, OH.
- 2008: Check `n Go begins offering Check Cashing services in 8 states.
